My interests are diverse across the whole Computer Science discipline, from hardware design to Web 2.0 and Semantic Web technologies, however my main focus is in Artificial Intelligence, and has been for the past 8 years.
As a member of the Strathclyde Planning Group, I am currently working within the field of Automated Planning, with a particular emphasis on Agent-based execution of automatically generated plans. My work is currently focused on intelligent execution in single agent applications, and the draft title for my thesis is “Plan Generalisation for Robust Agent Execution”.
I am also a member of the Strathclyde AI in Games Group, and take a keen interest in the application of AI techniques in video games, as well as using games in my research due to the controlled simulation that they provide.
Outside of Computer Science, I like to read about science in general, and am interested in various aspects of Applied Mathematics and Physics, particularly in the context of trying to look at my own work from a different perspective.
